🔹A. Reputation Token ($BRP)

Principles:

  • Short-term incentives are necessary, while members who choose long-term benefits should be given more rewards.

  • The periodic Grant is jointly determined by the actual input of this period and the current situation of the treasury, weighted accordingly.

  • Distribution is calculated through "identity x current reputation." "Identity" and "current" respectively consider historical contributions and current contributions, taking care of both old and new members.

  • The plan is concise and universal, and has interpretability.

$BRP (Buidler Reputation) is an on-chain proof of contribution and reputation for BuidlerDAO, released on the testnet, and rewarded to those contributors and partners who consistently appear with high-quality. Reputation will be distributed according to the type of contribution, including task-based, job-based, project-based distribution, as well as occasional retroactive airdrops. Reputation and identity will serve as weight-based criteria for future governance token issuance.

Reputation → Benefits

Earn reputation through contributions, and receive short-term or long-term benefits through reputation. Short-term benefits depend on the current contribution of the community and the current treasury funds. Long-term benefits are the $BUIDL token released by the main network. Short-term and long-term benefits are freely chosen by each Citizen and above:

  • Determine the current contributions of the community: The sum of BRP reputation of all community members in the current period.

  • Total Grant calculation for the current period: Weighted calculation of the current treasury funds and the reputation generated by the community in the current period, to obtain the total Grant that can be distributed (in USDT/USDC):

    • Total Grant = Reputation generated by the community in the current period * 2 * x% + Treasury funds * 1% * y% (where 2 represents 2U/reputation, and x%+y%=100%, currently set as x=y=50%).

  • Calculation of Grant that members can receive: Through identity * contribution in this period, each member's allocation weight for this Grant is obtained. Only members with Citizen or above status can receive Grant.

    • Choosing to receive: If chosen to receive, corresponding Grant will be obtained.

    • Choosing not to receive: If not chosen to receive, an equivalent amount of pBRP (Proof of BRP), a non-transferable token, will be returned to receive the same amount of BRP in this period. A token retracing airdrop will be conducted during the $BUIDL token TGE, weighted by "reputation x identity" calculated after weighting, where reputation = BRP + pBRP.

These rules will take effect after the whitepaper is approved, and Grant can be received after the product development is completed.

Example:

  1. If the actual reputation issued this month is 3000 and the Treasury has 500,000 U, then the Grant for this month can be calculated as: 3000x2x50%+500000x1%*50%=5500U.

  2. Both Alice and Bob received 100 BRP in this cycle and have the same identity. After weighted calculation, they can both receive 200 U.

  3. If Alice chooses to receive all of it, then she will receive a total of 100 BRP+200U this month, while Bob chooses not to receive any, then he will receive a total of 100 BRP+100 pBRP this month.

  4. After the issuance of $Buidl tokens, according to the airdrop calculation, 1 BRP is finally converted into a token worth 4 U. Then:

    1. Alice's 100 BRP will get 400U. Together with the previously earned 200U, she will receive a total of 600U.

    2. Bob's 100 BRP+100 pBRP will receive a total of 800U.
