🎻Code of Conduct

If you discover a violation of the Code of Conduct, please use this form (https://tally.so/r/3E5KKr) for anonymous submission and notify Governors if necessary.

BuidlerDAO aims to establish a deep network of talent and projects. We hope that more Web3 developers, researchers, and operators, as well as project founders and collaborators, will join this network and become contributors and builders, promoting the prosperity and mass adoption of the Web3 application layer.

Our commitment to the guidelines:

BuidlerDAO is committed to creating a safe and collaborative environment, regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, age, education, socio-economic status, or experience level.

This commitment is intended to create a reliable standard applicable to all members, partners, and communities related to the BuidlerDAO ecosystem. We invite all those who participate in the BuidlerDAO ecosystem (Guild members, BuidlerDAO contributors, Accelerated project members, Discord members) to create a safe and positive experience for everyone.

Guideline objectives:

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to set a general tone for our community and provide a guide and a process for us to interact with each other and hold each other accountable. This list does not detail all behaviors, but rather invites our community members to develop a healthy, friendly, collaborative, and creative culture towards self-improvement.

Expected behavior (expected and requested of all community members):

  • Attempt collaboration before conflict.

  • Accept constructive criticism humbly.

  • Give constructive feedback kindly: directly, with care and empathy, expressing your thoughts on the relevance of ideas and shared goals or aligned goals, rather than diminishing them.

  • Act in the best interests of the community.

  • Respect different viewpoints and experiences.

  • Be mindful of your surroundings and your peers.

  • Approach and listen to others with sincerity and positivity. Empathy first.

  • Participate in open dialogue, setting aside personal judgments, prejudices, views, and beliefs, and respect and listen to other viewpoints.

  • We may share with the public in real-life community venues, and we need to respect all customers in these locations.

  • Participate in the community sincerely and positively, contributing to the health and iteration of this community.

  • Use friendly and inclusive language, avoiding derogatory, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and language.

Unacceptable behavior (the following behaviors are considered harassment and are not acceptable):

  • Unwanted sexual attention.

  • Intentional intimidation, stalking, or following (online or offline).

  • Continuous disruption of community activities, fabrication of false information, and dissemination of harmful community speech.

  • Implicit or explicit comments that are offensive or attacking regarding gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, age, education, socio-economic status, or experience level.

  • Any form of threat or incitement to violence, including personal self-harm.

  • Harassment, including attempts to communicate with someone (publicly or privately) after the request has been ignored or denied.

  • Posting private or closed community chat logs without permission and including personal information (such as name, avatar, and other identifying details) involved.

  • Unwanted simulation of physical contact.

  • Unwanted comments regarding personal lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, medication, appearance, and employment.

  • Unnecessary or off-topic sexual images or information, including the use of explicit or violent sexual language in speech.

  • Organizing or participating in attacks or other activities that intentionally disrupt community operations.

  • Maliciously manipulating BuidlerDAO contracts, events, products, content, social channels, or Discord channels using robots or other programs.

Your responsibility to the community

If you observe a violation of our guidelines or become a victim of a violation, you are responsible for reporting the violation to Governors (fill out this form or contact them directly), even if the violation seems insignificant. You can remain anonymous.

If you are reported to have violated this commitment, please understand that we are primarily concerned with the impact of your behavior, not your motivation or intent. Although your intention may not be to violate the guidelines, the impact of your behavior or speech may be.

Although we understand that people make mistakes, we will also take action based on the needs and desires of the victim and the overall safety of the community. We hope that if you are reported to have violated the guidelines, you will treat it as an opportunity for reflection and learning.

Our goal is always to maintain a balanced understanding of all perspectives and take fair action.

Our top priority is to maintain safety, cooperation, and collaboration for all community members.
